So you want to race your SXS? Great! You've come to the right place!
SXS racing, also known as side-by-side racing, is an exhilarating off-road racing experience that has been gaining popularity in recent years. It involves racing high-performance UTVs (Utility Terrain Vehicles) on challenging courses that test both the driver's skill and the vehicle's capabilities. SXS racing is fun because it combines the adrenaline rush of high-speed racing with the excitement of navigating through obstacles and jumps. For newbies, expect a thrilling ride that can be physically demanding but also highly rewarding. It's essential to wear proper safety gear, follow the rules and guidelines of the race, and practice to build your skills gradually.
Getting started is a breeze and won't take much time. If you have the necessary sxs and means of transportation to reach the track, then you're already halfway there.
First, Join The ASSA
To participate in ASSA-Sanctioned competition events, it is mandatory to become a member. By joining the ASSA, you not only receive standardized regulations and instructions that ensure equitable and safer racing, but also gain support from the ASSA in the national-level advocacy for the rights of SXS, as well as assistance in coordinating and promoting local initiatives. It is essential that we all come together and unite to amplify our influence and efforts towards achieving our goals. Remember, there is power in unity.
Second, Download a Copy of the 2023 ASSA Rulebook (coming soon)
The rulebook provides essential information about the nationally recognized classes you can participate in and guides you on how to prepare your SXS for the competition. While most riders prefer to compete in the official ASSA classes, ASSA-chartered organizers may conduct special classes that cater to local interests. You can get in touch with the event promoters to know more about these classes.
Third, Find an Event!
Different events can be found under the racing dropdown. Know what type of racing you want to get into? Great! Just simply choose the discipline in the dropdown and find an event near you.
Not sure what discipline suits you? No worries! Explore each racing discipline under the "RACING" dropdown to see which one interests you the most!
